Miralles Associates, Inc. launches new website and first ever quarterly Q newsletter.

In January 2007, the new MAI website is launched in gratitude to our many clients, consultants and friends and in celebration of our 35th Anniversary. With all we have to look forward to this year, we at MAI have redesigned our website to reflect our current goals and objectives as an employee-owned, full-service architectural and planning firm. Check out the many web pages filled with the latest news and information; updates will be quarterly. And, of course, our select venue for announcements will be our first ever, quarterly Q web-based newsletter. Look here for recent happenings and announcements regarding the “goings on” at MAI throughout the year.

Celebrating 35-years of architecture and planning excellence.
In 2007, we proudly celebrate the 35th Anniversary of Miralles Associates, Inc. [MAI Architects] [MAI]. Everyone at MAI is honored to be connected as a firm and to uplift all that Adolfo E. Miralles, FAIA has founded and nurtured since inception in 1972.

MAI Architects announces ownership transition.
The architectural practices of Miralles and Wu, LLP and Miralles Associates, Inc. [MAI] merged in late-2003 and continued once again as Miralles Associates, Inc. [MAI Architects][MAI]. Upon the arrival of the newly appointed President and CEO, Darren D. Pynn, AIA LEED AP, Mr. Miralles and Mr. Pynn were pleased to commence a commitment as working principals, transitioning into what would be an employee-owned firm while Mr. Miralles began his advisory role as Chairman of the Board. Miralles’ move into retirement has marked nearly 50-years in architectural profession; all the while continuing to perform architecture and planning services at the level of excellence established and maintained since MAI's founding.

LADWP Encino Water Quality Improvement Project receives the “Best Community Design” Award.
On January 13th, MAI and the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power received the American Institute of Architects [AIA] San Fernando Valley Chapter’s “Best Community Design [BCD]” Award in recognition of Design Excellence for the Encino Water Quality Improvement Project. This event honored MAI, Adolfo E. Miralles, FAIA, as designer and the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power [LADWP], as owner, for their efforts and exceptional design for the community of Encino and the Water Quality Improvement Projects. Keynote speaker was the AIA National President for 2007, Mr. R.K. Stewart of Washington, DC.
